Ok, I’ve been putting off trying the vegan cheese from Pizza Pizza for soooo long because I’m super picky with vegan cheeses.
But my dad wanted to try it, so who am I to deny him 🤷🏼♀️.
From what I’ve read, it’s best to order “light cheese”, and for the pizza to be “well done”... so that’s what I did.
And we both surprisingly liked it!!!!! The taste of the cheese is extremely mild (not chemically like other brands), but it’s definitely kind of “goopy”, so I’m glad that we asked for light cheese. The vegan pepperoni and crumble were great!
Both my dad and I said we would definitely get it again 💯.
(We also got it on the cauliflower crust, which I REALLY liked)

Braden and I had an amazing backyard baby shower with our friends and family today 👶🏼💞🎉.
We somehow had some @bloomersto donuts leftover which was BLESSING!
When everyone left I changed right into my swimsuit and ate donuts in the pool 🥳
(Side note - I promise I look v pregnant in person... this straight on angle is really weird and deceiving somehow!)
We had so much fun at our FIFTH @vegandalefestival! I think it’s pretty cool that we went vegan right before the first one, and we’ve never missed a festival 🥰.
How CUTE is this little shirt that we got our little baby?! I’m obsessed.
We ate a lotttt of food (I shared on my stories!), and has such a great time!
Now we’re going home to finish building furniture for the little guys nursery 👶🏼.
So yesterday we were at IKEA and Braden says to me, “I’m going to the bathroom, order 10 veggie dogs please”.
And then it’s ME who looks like the absolute weirdo who’s ordering TEN of these in a crowded line 🙄.
(To be fair, 10 of these babies only cost $11.... and he took 4 of them for lunch at work today...but still 😂)

We FINALLY went to try @plantaqueen and it was well worth the wait!!!!
The actual space is stunning (the attention to detail is unreal), and the food was beyond delicious 🤤.
We shared the Bang Bang Broccoli (very lightly deep fried with sweet chilli sauce and peanut butter), Udon Noodles (with truffle scented mushroom coconut cream), and the Potato Truffle Dumplings (cabbage, coconut milk, and lemongrass broth). We also tried samples of the Nori Crackling (crispy nori with delicious spices on top), and the Sashimi Pizza (mushroom carpaccio, avocado, and shared truffles).
EVERYTHING we got was truly delicious, which I think is rare in any restaurant!! I would suggest going with a group of four of more people and ordering two items each!

How NEAT is it that the colour of the icing is from a few tablespoons of raspberry juice? SO COOL!
I would modify the recipe a little to do the following:
.5 cups of vegan butter
2 cups of icing sugar
1 cup of thawed frozen raspberries (and then drain them in a mesh strainer to get the 2tbsp of raspberry juice to use)
