🚀 Welcome to EVID-DGC!
EVID-DGC is a blockchain-based evidence management system that ensures secure, transparent, and immutable handling of digital evidence for law enforcement and legal professionals.
Login Options
You have two ways to access the system:
Connect your wallet, select your role, and complete registration for blockchain authentication.
Use traditional email login for quick access without blockchain integration.
Getting Started with MetaMask
Download the MetaMask browser extension from metamask.io
Click "Connect MetaMask" on the homepage and approve the connection request.
Choose from 8 specialized roles: Public Viewer, Investigator, Forensic Analyst, Legal Professional, Court Official, Evidence Manager, Auditor, or Administrator.
Fill in your details (name, badge number, department) and submit to access your dashboard.
Common Tasks
📤 Uploading Evidence (Investigators/Analysts)
- Navigate to the evidence upload section
- Select an existing case or create a new one
- Choose your file (max 100MB)
- Add description and metadata
- Submit and verify upload success
📁 Creating a Case
- Click "Create New Case" from your dashboard
- Fill in case details and assign priority
- Add team members as needed
- Save and start adding evidence
📥 Downloading Evidence
- Navigate to the case evidence section
- Select the evidence item you need
- Click download (watermarked version will be provided)
- Verify download integrity
Supported File Types
- Images: JPEG, PNG, GIF
- Videos: MP4, AVI, MOV
- Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A
- Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT
- Archives: ZIP, RAR
Security Best Practices
- Never share your wallet private keys
- Use strong passwords for email accounts
- Always log out when finished
- Report any suspicious activity immediately
- Keep MetaMask updated to the latest version
